My Requirements

Family based in Clapham South ideally seeking live in au pair to be part of the family and assist with before and after school care for our two children aged 7 and 3 and a half and to walk the dog. The role also requires occasional babysitting and full time school holiday cover for extra pay.

The role involves assisting with the morning routine of getting children ready for school, doing the school run (morning and evening) walking the dog once a day, taking the children to after school activities, preparing and serving the children‘s evening meal, assisting with homework and preparing both children for bed from Monday to Friday, plus occasional childcare in the evenings and on weekends.

The children’s school is a 20 minute drive so a driving licence is essential. There is access to the family car.

The role doesn’t require general cleaning/housekeeping or laundry, but you need to ensure the children have the right clothes and items for school and activities and that you tidy up toys and clean up after children’s activities in the home and keep their rooms tidy and make their beds.

Monday to Friday hours are routinely be 7-9.15am and 3.30/4.30-7pm and ad hoc additional evening babysitting until around 10pm (midweek) or 11/12pm (weekends) as well as full time school holiday cover when we are not away. Basic weekly money is £150 per week and £10per hour for additional babysitting. As this is an au pair role the pay will be treated as non-taxable.

The role includes accommodation (en suite room, with internet, sky TV) inside the family home and all food and bills are covered.

Only non-smokers will be considered and a driving licence is essential as is someone comfortable with larger dogs.
