My Experience

I've been babysitting regularly since I was 16, and also have some nanny experience. I have learnt to be a positive role model for children, encouraging them to have fun and develop their skills. I am responsible, trustworthy, and reasonable so parents can feel their children are safe in my care. I have worked as a Support Worker in a nursery for children from 9 months to 5 years. My role was mainly supervising, playing and assisting with toileting with the children in the different age rooms. I also carried out cleaning duties, and prepared arts and crafts and other curriculum appropriate activities. Additionally, I have worked as a Support Worker in a holiday club for children aged 3 to 10 years since July 2022. In this position, I plan engaging, play focussed activities, and am responsible for groups of children during games and outings. I also have experience preparing and cooking meals and snacks for children.

My Qualifications

I have two Paediatric First Aid Qualifications, one which I gained in June 2023 and the other I gained last year. These cover all types of paediatric first aid, including CPR and choking. I have several PVG's (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) qualifications, which I acquired for previous jobs. I also have achieved a Safe Space 3 qualification during my online Girlguiding Leadership Programme. This covers safeguarding when working with children. My studying of Education at university allowed me to learn more about Child Safety, and supporting children through the use of Scottish Government Policies such as GIRFEC, SHANARRI and the Curriculum for Excellence.

My Availability

I am available all week days and am pretty flexible regarding weekends. I can do daytime and evenings until 1 AM.
