My Experience

Most recently, a year of working with wonderful boy/girl twin babies in Edinburgh. I've been their nanny since they were 4 months old and adore my days with them, but their lovely Mum has decided to take some time off work while they’re young, so won’t be needing help. Previous to this position, I had eight years experience as a live out Nanny for the Temperley family (4 boys), two years with the Emson family (3 boys) and freelance Nanny work with two additional sets of lovely children (boy/girl twins age 5 and 2 girls)

These roles included responsibilities such as:

• Organise and conduct age-appropriate recreational activities, such as games, arts and crafts, sport,
cooking/baking, outdoor adventures and play dates.
• Provide full care for babies, nurturing their development and communication skills with fun activities and
lots of games. Recognise the importance of having eyes like a hawk as far as babies and toddlers are
concerned!
• Help and support children with homework and school projects.
• Prepare and serve nutritionally balanced meals and snacks for children.
• Encourage imaginative play.
• Find learning opportunities in everyday activities.
• Instruct children in safe behaviour, such as seeking adult assistance when crossing the road and avoiding
contact or play with unsafe objects.
• Sit down regularly with parents to discuss children's activities and development.
• Join family on holidays abroad each year and provide assistance throughout the days and nights.
• Model appropriate social behaviour and encourage concern for others to cultivate the development of
interpersonal relationships and communication skills.
• Perform household tasks such as washing/ironing/cleaning/organising storage spaces etc.
• School and Nursery Pick-ups and taking children to activities (clean driving licence and own very safe new car)

My Qualifications

Highers: A English, A French, A Spanish, B Maths, B Computing C Biology
Awarded overall 1st Place in Yeargroup for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th year.
Primary Education - Strathclyde University (left before end of course to pursue a work opportunity)

My Availability

My availability will be completely flexible and can be discussed at greater length with prospective family. I currently work as a nanny for twin one year olds in Edinburgh but with the understanding that should a position be found closer to home, I will be available to start at any point to suit new family. I'm also happy to nanny share, or work with two families on different days.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
• Nannying from £12.50 per hour (gross)

My current rate is £12.50 per hour but this can be discussed with prospective families. I'm happy to help with household tasks such as cooking, baking, cleaning and changing linen etc as part of my role. I believe that the quality of care I provide, my enthusiasm, and the fantastic relationships I build with the children I look after, all combine to reflect this rate of pay. I'm confident and happy to be responsible for and provide excellent care for multiple children.
