About Me
After 22 years of working as an Early Years/Year 1 school teacher in the Bath area, I re-trained in 2021 and now have 3 years experience as a part-time nanny. I am the mum of two grown-up children and I am looking for a part-time nanny job starting in January or February 2025. I am kind and reliable and I believe that play-based child-centred learning is absolutely crucial for a young child's holistic development. With your child's interests in mind, I can offer a range of fun and educational activities for inside and outside play. As an ex-teacher, I can support older children to understand and complete their homework and I can encourage children of all ages to improve their reading, writing and comprehension skills. I love to cook and prepare nutritional meals and snacks and I have my own car. My Experience
I have had children of my own and they are now 33 and 30. They have left home, but visit regularly and we enjoy holidays together.
Until July 2021 I was an infant school teacher in the Bath area for 22 years, teaching Reception (Early Years) and Year 1. I have completed the Bath and North East Somerset Childminder Course and I am registered with Ofsted as a home childcarer so that I am DBS security checked and trained in Paediatric First Aid.
I have worked as a part-time nanny in the Bath area for the last 3 years.
In a voluntary capacity I also run a church toddler group on Wednesday mornings in term -times.
My Qualifications

Post-Graduate Certificate of Education (ages 3-8)
BA Hons (Anthropology and Psychology) at University of Durham
