My Summary
About Me
I I am married with 2 children both have graduated from university and my son has gone on to teaching children with Sen. They have both grown up with me being a registered childminder. Both my children are registered as assistants in case .I need them around their own jobs of course I also have two grandchildren, that I am also very proud of .
I am a very trustworthy and friendly person. I deliver free nursery education and two year old entitlement places too . I live in wombwell, near a local school (park st) and local amenities. I love my job. how many people can say that? I try to make children feel relaxed in an home from home environment where children feel valued as individuals.
I own my own car and I also walk places. I have two designated playrooms although children also access other parts of my home including the garden.
My Experience
I have been a registered childminder for over 20 years and love my chosen career, which has entailed a lot of experiences and working with and alongside many families. Some of these families have had issues I have supported them to work through and others have been happy with having the peace of mind that their children are being well cared for and stimulated while they go out to work or study. I am very committed to my role and this is shown through the care I provide and the training I do which is not all compulsory and how professionally I conduct myself. I really love my job and think I have found my vocation in life to work with children, I was first awarded OUTSTANDING in 2009 . I have worked hard to maintain this level of care. I have had inspections since this date , these were also outstanding. in every area . I consider this grade to be a great honour and will continue to reflect on my practice to keep this grade, including the importance of training for both myself and staff to offer better outcomes for children and parent/carers.
My last inspection was Jan 2022
I have experience in caring for babies and children with additional needs including premature babies so I understand the additional complications associated with preemies, including lung complications. I have also cared for twins.
As I mentioned earlier, i deliver free funded nursery education for eligible two and three year
my highest qualification is my Foundation degree in Early years obtained through the open university so that I could work around around my childminding.
I employ assistants to work alongside myself. All staff are expected to work towards level 3 or above. I believe by employing these assistants i can offer a more flexible childcare service that meets the needs of families i work with. this also helps to improve my service and practice. in addition to the training assistants already have they are encouraged to attend training courses to benefit children and families within our care.
My Qualifications
Distinction in counselling (O.A..Dip)
Childcare diploma
level 2 qualifications in childcare
3xlevel 3 childcare qualification
1xlevel 4 qualification in childcare.
I have also achieved a foundation degree in early years education [level 5].through the open university.
as well as child psychology, anaphylaxis and EpiPen training, first aid, food hygiene, safeguarding children, and a multitude of other workshops and training courses that can be viewed by parents, like ADHD training, Makaton one, two and three, moving and handling of children, expectations of behaviour training, supporting children with autism, the list goes on and would take ages to write. in addition to this i have been accredited as an healthy early years setting.
As well as undertaking training I have experience of working with children who have additional needs including ADHD, autism, leukaemia, lactose intolerant and gluten allergies.
I believe keeping up to date with training is vital when caring for children. and my staff and I will continue to undertake training to enhance the care we offer children and their families. A staff member and I completed an SEND accredited level 3 qualification in 2020. This will help us to to improve outcomes for children and families.

My wife and I have taken our daughter to Tracy from age 1 though to age 6. This review is from dads perspective, though I am sure the boss agrees.
Tracy has been a godsend to us, as a two parent working family with no other support in the area, we needed a reliable, professional, structured, friendly … you name it … option for extensive childcare. Pre-school age, this meant long working days, and during this time we were afforded all the flexibility needed. Our daughter clearly had support appropriate for her age, and as she grew a little older, this evolved to provide her a great start into school life. As our needs changes, through working from home and the new school run requirements, Tracy and her staff were always on hand to offer a solution. Tracy takes responsibility, recognising the need for communication and open-ness, in all matters including details of those who work with and for her, information about the setting and anything else relevant like covid regs. We have a relationship now where if in need, any time of day, I know we would be able to get help if we really needed it. With contracts so fair, flexible, transparent and fit for purpose, there is nothing to worry about. From the perspective that really matters – children developing – all I can say is that my own Daughter appears to have had a great start and we will all miss Tracy, her assistants and the other children when we leave her services through personal circumstances. If we could have remained, we certainly would have. Dads out there – nudge the missus into at least popping over to have a chat and see for yourself.

Thank you very much for your reference.we are going to miss you all. It’s never easy to say goodbye to families. However you won’t get rid of us that easy . We expect pictures and updates x
Tracy has looked after all four of my children, they have all been very happy in Tracy's care. As a parent you find yourself supported and reassured, Tracy is so experienced she has given me so much advice over the years. My first experience with another local childminder was very different, it made me realise how as a parent I had to connect with the childminder too. I find Tracy friendly, helpful and great with my kids.

thank you very much it means a lot to know that my parents value my service.. thank you again. I try my best.
My child hasn't been with anyone other than grandparents and us and she's settled into Tracy's like nothing I've seen! It's a welcoming environment that's stimulating even for a baby at 9.5 months. Feel very lucky to have been placed within her care!

only just seen this sorry. thank you very much for your comment it means a lot.
I have entrusted Tracy with my 3 children and have never looked back. Currently my 2 youngest are in her setting and it has never crossed my mind to place them elsewhere. She has been a fantastic support system throughout the entire time, working with us as parents to overcome any problems that have arised including a diagnosis of autism. As parents we feel 100% confident in leaving our precious children with Tracy, and her assistants are also fantastic, the children have a fabulous bond and they love going which is very comforting to any parent. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending anyone to place their child with Tracy. She loves her job, you only need to see her with the children to see that. :)

only just seen this so sorry. thank you very it has been a pleasure knowing you and your children. the feedback from parents makes this job worth while, that and the smile on your children's faces..
Tracy is an outstanding childminder. I first observed Tracy interacting with child in her care at the local infant and primary school whilst I was on maternity leave with my second child and taking my eldest daughter to school. I had already made the decision that I did not want to place a baby with my current child minder and the plan was for my second child to go to a local nursery. After observing Tracy and meeting with her I knew I wanted both my children to go to Tracy's child care setting.
Tracy always has the best interests of both the child and parent(s) at heart. Both my children are very happy, settled and well cared for. Tracy communicates on a regular basis with me as a parent and also offers both my child a range of opportunities to develop their communication amongst many other skills. Tracy also has excellent behaviour management policies in place which endorses the positive behaviour that I expect and want to see in my children. Tracy also goes the extra mile for the children in her setting and will also support to find out if my eldest has an issue that she is not admitting to or disclosing in the first instance when upset. Tracy's setting is warm and welcoming which makes both my children feel content but also puts me at ease as a working parent. Tracy also liaises with the school to mirror their themes in the nursery setting which I feel is a fantastic idea. I would highly recommend Tracy to anyone looking to place their child/children in a childcare setting. Even though I have a structured plan of care/attendance for my children Tracy is very flexible to adapt this where necessary.
