My Experience

I am newly qualified teacher looking to tutor. I have worked as a TA beforehand in over 50 schools and have a lot of knowledge and experience in the education sector.

Au pair in Madrid (June – August 2019)

I travelled away alone to Madrid for 6 weeks and lived with a family I met through an agency. My job consisted of taking care, cooking and broadening on a six-year-old girl and an eleven year old boy’s English. I had made some new Spanish friends which also opened up a lot of opportunities to experience different area’s in Madrid. The children had some behavioural issues, however I saw that as a challenge and I wouldn’t have changed a thing about my experience as I have now received further independence and confidence.

Level 2 qualified Forest School leader (June 2019)

I carried out a two-full day course consisting of what I need to know to complete a forest school session in the future. I learnt about the ecology of a woodland, I used equipment that would be used in a forest, made fires, completed risk assessments and had a lot of discussions with my peers. I also created an activity alongside an

activity plan with a small group of my peers for the children who came into the forest school. Explaining this activity and supporting the children allowed myself to elaborate on my performance and discover any further improvements.

Level 3 qualified First Aider (January 2017)

I attended a first aid course last January and then achieved an award of being a level 3 qualified first aider. This course included scenarios of casualties with different injuries and how a practitioner is supposed to approach the casualty and what action to take. There was also written work involved such as recognising the signs of an incident and describing different types of cuts and burns.

Level 3 qualified Hygienist (January 2017)

I've also completed and received the qualification of a level 2 food safety award. This consisted of completing a range of assignments to cover a whole unit. Also, this course included an assessment in placement. I based my assessment on presenting snacks to the children in Rainbows private nursery and supervising them at the same time. Then I had a discussion with my assessor about health and hygiene which was very successful.

Teaching assistant (TA) (June 2017)

After attending my first year in college, I received the qualification of a Teaching Assistant (TA). I have been currently working with an agency at various schools throughout Newport in about eight different schools. I really enjoy this job as I am able to work effectively with children and to help them succeed in learning.

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
• Tutoring from £15.00 per hour

My fees depend on the roles I undertake
