My Summary

My Experience

During my gap year, I nannied for two boys aged 2 and a 4/5 years old - both full-time and wrap-around care. This included taking them on day trips to parts of London, time in the park and a lots of play pretend games! I also helped with meals, cleaning and homework. I had such a lovely experience watching them grow and helping them learn about the world. In this time I did plenty of babysitting and late evenings too.
I've previously worked with my cycling club helping to coach children ages 6-11. This means that I have lots of experience with loud and confident groups of children, making sure they have a fun session but also learn lots of new skills. I also had to come up with new games and ways to explore cycling techniques in order to keep each child entertained.
I have also done some work experience in a local school, helping with basic numeracy and English as well as the sports day that happened. I ensured that I gave attention to each child individually to make sure they understood the topic and their voice wasn't being ignored. This also relied on being able to calmly control large groups of children aged 7-11.
While in 6th form I volunteered to help tutor a 12-year-old in English which once more helped my abilities to teach while also holding his attention and not leaving him bored.

My Qualifications

Nine GCSE's at grades 5-9 including English Literature & Language at grade 9 and Maths at grade 6
Three A Levels all grade A* (English Literature, History and Sociology)
