About Me
I am a part time teacher currently working in a SEN school with key stage 1 and 2 pupils with a range of complex learning needs. I am passionate in providing a safe space for all children where they feel secure and happy in order to learn and reach their full potential. I am also a trained yoga and mindfulness teacher which I use within my teaching, giving children support throughout the school day to manage their anxieties.
My Experience
I have 15 years teaching experience in special education and have worked with pupils across all key stages with a range of special educational needs, including autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, sensory processing disorder and cerebral palsy. Being trained in both primary and SEN I have a vast experience of teaching all curriculum subjects and adapting these in order to meet childrens individual needs. I am trained in Makaton which I use within my teaching to support childrens understanding and communication difficulties. In addition to my experience in schools I have worked closely with families to provide support within the home environment, supporting with any day to day difficulties they are facing.

Bachelor in Education with qualified teacher status and Masters degree in special educational needs

Rachel is a fantastic tutor to my daughter who has autism.rachel engages well with her on a range of topics and makes learning fun .I would highly recommend
