Hello my name is Reece. I’m an honest and reliable Early Years Educator. I attend professional Seminars and workshops frequently to update my knowledge and take a real interest in Brain development and Neuroscience.
I am looking for a live babysitting work in the evenings and/or weekends.
I have a keen interest in Babies and Toddlers but work with all age ranges. I enjoy providing lots of sensory activities such as messy play like Play-dough and Cornflour play. As well as Treasure Baskets (developed be Elinor Goldschmied) and Heuristic Play which can be developed into Loose Parts play for older children; beginning to engage them in sustained shared thinking. I I enjoy being out in nature and use Fröbelian practice (as well as many other theorists) to influence my work around outdoor and risky play.
I am Boogie mites School ready and Minis trained which uses active music making to develop children’s development holistically in all 7 areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) with links to the National Standards of Phonics Letters and sounds. I’m myHappyMind trained which teaches preschool children about self-regulation, feelings, emotions and their brains and focuses on your child’s mental health and well-being. Alongside this I am Trained in Drawing and Talking Therapy which is a therapeutic service to help children express themselves and deal with trauma. I am in the process of learning Makaton and British Sign Language.
