My Summary

My Experience

1. I was responsible for taking care of two delightful girls aged 3 and 6. Our days were filled with baking, dancing, playing board games, and indulging in some off-key singing sessions together.

2. I was responsible for 2 girls aged 3 and 5. I took the girls to and from their schools/activities, created fun activities, cooked, bathed and supported with homework. We loved reading, pretending, and doing art projects together. They're also very outdoorsy so we liked to go outside in nature.

3. I worked with 2 boys aged 3 and 8. The 3-year-old has a global speech delay and it was an incredible experience to be a part of his journey. His language skills improved exponentially over the period I looked after him and I couldn't be prouder! The eldest child has ADHD and was very passionate about his specific subjects. He has a wonderful imagination and he always challenged me to think on my feet. We liked to play word games and complete challenges together.

4. As an au pair: I have been an au pair for two different families: both in Spain, one had two girls aged 5 and 7, and the other family had one girl aged 11 and one boy aged 13. I still keep in contact with both families as we became very close - almost like a second family! I was responsible for the safety and maintenance of a consistent routine for the children. I also helped with housekeeping duties, cooking and homework help. The 5-year-old girl had behavioural issues so I introduced a sticker chart and we all saw a dramatic improvement in her behaviour. I taught her ways to manage her anger such as how to recognise that feeling and communicate.

5. As a teacher: I have been a teacher in two different schools (in Thailand and Mexico) and my teaching experience covers ages 2 to 7. In my roles, I was responsible for curriculum design, planning and leading activities and ensuring the wellbeing and safety of 12-25 students at a time. I always feel like I learn a lot from each of my students and remember each and every one of them! As well as working with students that had little to no English skills, I also worked with many students that had learning difficulties. I learned to be very creative with my teaching methods as I always ensured that each of my students felt welcome in my classroom and safe with me.

6. As a private tutor: I have been a private tutor (of English) since starting university. I am flexible with the way I teach in accordance with parental expectations and the way the child learns. I have been a private tutor for children aged 3-15 in the Netherlands, Spain, Thailand, and Mexico.

My Availability

I am available immediately, from Monday to Friday. I will consider occasional babysitting nights.

• Nannying from £14.00 per hour (gross)

£16 per hour
