About Me
Hello! My name is Sophie and I am a compassionate, loving, go with the flow woman who adores children, yet can be firm at times if required. I enjoy bringing my love of the outdoors, art, music, learning, healthy foods, and exploration to children.
I have been working with children in the position of a babysitter; a lifeguard for kids parties and summer camps; a Brownie leader (Girl Guiding) and as a tutor to both primary and secondary school children. I have worked with primary and secondary school ages from 4 to 16 years for over 5 years. I have a valid DBS check and right to work in the UK (British citizen). I love working with children and getting to know them and their individual personalities. I am an animal lover (with a cat of my own) and have experience with dog and cat sitting also.
I am currently working at an Engineering consultancy and working towards my charter ship as a transport planner. I have found myself with some extra time in the evenings and on my days off and would look forward to spend some of my time with children having fun and educational interactions.
I am happy to help with cooking/cleaning/laundry and just general household chores if needed.
My Experience
I have 5+ years of babysitting experience for the ages of 4-12 years old. I have 2 years experience in tutoring. And 3 years experience of volunteering at a GirlGuiding Rainbows/Brownies unit. I am fun and bubbly and love playing games with kids, and I am also available to help with homework too having achieved A*- A in my GCSEs and an A in maths at A-level. I also have a first class Masters degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Southampton
My Qualifications
I have achieved A/A*s at GCSE level (including maths, English and all three sciences)
A-levels ABB (maths, physics, chemistry)
I was a qualified lifeguard for 2 years which included first aid training.
I regularly babysat from 16 years old and through university.
My Availability
Evenings and weekends are best for me although I can do some mornings and afternoons with enough notice.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
My fees can be negotiable depending on time/length and requirements. However in general, I am used to working for between £8.50-£10 an hour.
