My Requirements

I’m looking for someone to look after my son (who will be a year old in January) for 2.5 hours, 5 mornings a week and 2.5 hours on Saturday mornings from January to May. I’m happy for 2 people to split the hours (so, for example, if you can only do weekdays then that’s no problem and I can look for someone else to do the Saturdays).

I’m looking for someone to take him to the same baby & toddler groups that he currently goes to. These are: Mondays - Polwarth group 9.30-11am; Tuesdays- King’s church group 10-11.30am; Thursdays - Greenbank group 9.45-11.15am. If you don’t have your own transport then I’m happy to pay for a taxi to go to and from the groups. He doesn’t currently attend groups on Wednesdays and Fridays so I’d be happy for him to go to a group of your choice or for him to just go for a walk/shops etc. He absolutely loves going to cafes for food (he’s very well behaved in his high chair) so if you’d like to take him to one on Wednesdays and/or Fridays then I’m of course happy to cover the cost for both of you too. On Saturday mornings, hours would be 9.30-12 and I’m flexible on any activity you do (only proviso is that he’s taken out the house for the 2.5 hours). Obviously he’d be very happy with a cafe - but it’s totally up to you!

Over the school Easter holidays (7th to 21st April), there is also the option to do more hours on top of the 2.5 per day if you wish.

My son is a lovely, happy and sociable wee boy. He loves other babies/toddlers which is why I take him to the groups - he has 2 older brothers but they are not interested in playing with him at all and he’s just desperate for some wee baby pals! I’m a very relaxed mum (I grew up in the 80s before health and safety and social media fads!) so I’m not bothered about him getting his clothes dirty or him putting food in his hair (which he loves to do) or what he eats when he’s with you (he loves a biscuit at toddler group and he will eat anything you give him at a cafe!) and it’s also totally fine if he naps when he’s out.

Age/experience not as important to me as someone who is warm and confident with babies and who loves children! Look forward to hearing from you!
