Hello!
It has always been a passion of mine to work with children, I recognise the importance of creating a good early foundation for children to thrive in with their learning and development. I have worked in childcare for over 10 years, undertaking placements in Primary schools and jobs in various nurseries, as well as babysitting alongside this.
I am half Swedish, I can understand and speak some Swedish as I was brought up in a bilingual environment. I also teach yoga in my spare time, which has been a passion for me for the past 10 years.
Travelling is a also great passion of mine, I love exploring new places and going on adventures in the outdoors. I have grown up spending a lot of my childhood in the woods and have the best memories of these times, therefore I recognise how important and nourishing it is for children to have that in their lives.
I have a wide knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and use this in my everyday practice currently, in meeting the child's unique needs, enabling the environment and creating positive relationships, as well as positive parent partnerships.

My Experience
My name is Riy, and I am an experienced childcare professional with a passion for fostering children’s development and well-being. I have over 10 years of childcare experience, including 3 years as a dedicated nanny and 4+ years in nursery settings, alongside a BA (Hons) degree in Early Childhood Studies and over 600 hours of practical placement.
I am fully DBS-checked, trained in paediatric first aid, and have comprehensive knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). My experience spans caring for children aged 0 to 14, and I pride myself on promoting development through fun, creativity, and exploration.
In addition to my professional background, I love incorporating mindfulness, outdoor activities, and creative projects into my time with children. I enjoy exploring nature, going on walks, baking, crafting, and encouraging imaginative play. I am passionate about building strong parent partnerships and tailoring activities to suit each child’s unique needs and developmental milestones.

Full DBS Check.
First Aid Trained.
Brain Development in Babies Course, Food Hygiene Course, Total Communication Training, Makaton signing, Enabling environment course.
Completed Prevent Duty, FGM and Safeguarding training.
Full drivers license.
My Availability
Preferably 2/3 long days or a few mornings/afternoons a week. Weekdays only with flexibility for babysitting hours. Flexible to meet the right families' needs.

- Nannying from £17.00 per hour (gross)
