I believe tutoring shouldn’t feel like school. It should be a fun, interactive way to boost your child's writing skills, filled with games and activities that put them at the heart of the lesson. With me, writing becomes an exciting adventure where your child learns to plan, structure, and edit their work—sprinkling in similes, metaphors, and impressive vocabulary to make their stories truly sparkle!
Once they’re buzzing with motivation, I’ll guide them gently through grammar and spelling, building their confidence with every step.
My Experience
Armed with a degree in English Literature & Education and experience as a school TA, I made the decision to help children discover their story-writing spark! ?
With six years of tutoring experience, I’ve been helping children improve their writing skills both online and in Steyning, Shoreham, and Burgess Hill. And I’m just getting started! I’ve recently trained with the Bristol Dyslexia Centre, which has given me even more tools and techniques to help all learners, including those with dyslexia, unleash their creative potential!
My Qualifications
I hold a degree in English Literature & Education (BA Hons), which has given me a deep understanding of both the subject and how children learn best. In addition to this, I’ve gained valuable experience working as a Teaching Assistant in primary schools, where I supported children with their writing, reading, and overall learning journey.
My Availability
I’m available during term time between midday and 8pm, and I’m happy to offer half-term lessons on request.

My Fees
- Tutoring from £35.00 per hour
Lessons are £35 per hour. Here's exactly what's included:
* One-to-one tutoring at your home in Steyning, Shoreham or Burgess Hill.
* A 60-minute session focusing on your child's specific learning needs – whether that's creative writing, spelling, punctuation or grammar.
* Fun lessons tailored to your child's passions, pace and personality.
There are no extra charges for travel within these areas and no hidden fees – just engaging, exciting lessons designed to help your child become a confident writer!
