About Me

Hi I’m Holly and i am a childminder based in Ogwell, I live with my Husband Adam and my three children, 7 year old twins, and a 2 year old. I provide a nurturing, flexible, home from home environment for young children, Holly's Childcare.
Our house is a clean and relaxed environment with lots of opportunity for creative and open – ended play. We spend plenty of time outdoors, living within a stone’s throw of our Local play park and nature reserve. I have all the relevant training and qualifications, DBS check and Paediatric First Aid and am an advocate for gentle parenting. I take children from the ages of 6 months to 11 years and can provide everything from full time pre-school care to wrap around school care, holiday clubs and short term ad hoc contracts where space allows.
I am fully insured and have a large vehicle so am able to take the children out on regular trips. I have a collection of slings I would be happy to wear your child in, to help ease the difficult transition away from primary caregiver and I can accommodate children in cloth nappies.

My home has a large living room, that doubles as a play room, with plenty of open ended toys and resources including a mini climbing frame and slide, home corner, cosy book nook and plenty of blocks, Lego, arts and crafts materials, and loose parts.

I also have an open plan style kitchen/ dining room where we all eat together at the table, this opens out into a small courtyard for free flow indoor/outdoor play and there is a larger garden with various resources including a mud kitchen, climbing frame and small playhouse.

I provide plenty of messy play opportunities, baking, arts and crafts and daytrips out, I hold passes for Pennywell Farm and we are lucky enough to live right next to the local park and nature reserve.
Travel cots or floor mattresses in a cosy spot are available for naps and I am happy to snuggle, or baby-wear your little one to sleep where possible.
Our days follow a mixture of free play, child initiated and adult lead play uniquely tailored to your child’s interests, developmental stage, age and routine, the curriculum will be built around them and their needs.
