Hello,
Welcome to The Willow's Childcare By Lydia.
My name is Lydia , I am 34, married and a mother to two beautiful children. I am also qualified childcare practitioner and a registered childminder.
I am passionate early years professional who has worked with children aged 0 to 10 years for over 15 years in a number of private day nurseries, nursery schools and primary schools.
I am a passionate about the care I provide and feel that the small home from home environment I have, provides children with a high standard of childcare provision. Creating a safe space for children to learn through play, enhanced speech and language opportunities and allows children to learn new skills whilst scaffolding peer relationships.
I strongly feel that networking with otherhi childminders is important and I do this three times a week. Providing children the opportunity to build new and soild relationships with others, explore different settings and access different learning environments.
I have been married to my husband for over 6 years and have two beautiful children.
We live in our semi detached house in Longbridge, we have a large garden which we access as much as possible and a cat called Rex who is very friendly. .
My Experience
Having worked in a number of various settings I a have gained many fantastic opportunities to learn and develop my knowledge in early years.
I have recently finished my degree and Qualified in Ba honours in Early Childhood Education and Care .
This has allowed me to expanded my knowledge and understanding in child care and education.
After completing my degree and my years of practical experience, I feel I am in good steed to provide children with a safe and fun learning environment where they blossom in all areas of develop.
My Qualifications
I hold a CACHE level 3 Diploma in childcare and Education,
BA Honours in Early Childhood Education and Care.
A level 3 award in Paediatric First aid
Level 2 Food and hygiene

Lydia and her family are lovely! My daughter settled in so quickly, Lydia made her feel so welcome and calm! I would get sent regular photos of their adventures with how the day was going. Lydia always ensured there was something fun and engaging for the kids to do each day! Safe, clean and happy environment.

All my children have been cared for at the Willows by Lydia who is so friendly and professional. She provides a safe, clean and fun environment at her home which the children love to explore. We receive photos of their playtime and adventures throughout the day, and it’s lovely to see the children so happy and carefree - as well as developing skills through the activities. My 10yr old uses the after school club facility Lydia provides, and always has fun with activities more suited to her age bracket.
All the children are in a good routine, so it is easy to continue this at home and Lydia provides a thorough update at the end of each session.
I couldn’t recommend you enough! Thank you!
