About Me
My name is Julie and I live in Beeston Ls11. I am married with two grown up children. I have been married to Andy for 32 years.
I have been a childminder registered with Ofsted for over 20 plus years.
My setting comprises of a large playroom with learning resources where children will learn through play and experiences.
I have a very large secure outdoor area where children explore the outdoors looking and learning about plants food and insects and other wildlife within the surroundings. We learn about about to plant seeds and tend them and learn where a lot of our food comes from. Also about flowers and pollinators and how we should look after them. I have plenty of equipment for children to explore. Scooters trykes climbing running jumping. Messy areas to dig in sand and water stations and mud kitchens for role play.
We also visit 3 playgroups during the week and meet up with other professional childcarers and their children thus allowing the children to integrate with other children and grownups within our community. We visit the local library. The woods and local parks museums local farms to widen the children's experiences
My Experience
I have worked alone in my home for over 20 years and I have attended many workshops to improve my provision. Before becoming a childminder I was a personal assistant to a highly recognised Solicitor in Leeds

CACHE level 3 NVQ in Childcare practice
Cache level 3 NVQ in Children's learning and Deveopment
