My Requirements

Part Time Wrap-around Nanny Required (20+hrs/week)
March 2025 start

Driver Essential (or someone comfortable w our 3-wheel cargo bike)

We’re a welcoming family looking for an experienced (at least 5+ years professionally) nanny to care for our 1-year-old and 3-year-old from around early March. You must be a driver with a clean license and/or happy to use our cargo bike (a 3-wheel electric Nihola) on days where we’d ask you to do pickups or drop-offs from nursery (approx 2.5 miles by car or bike.)

Proposed shifts as follows (20+hrs/week):
Monday – Thursday (Fridays are still TBD)
- Mornings: 7am - 9:30am
- Evenings: 4:30pm - 7pm
Optional/occasional opportunity for late evenings (date nights) and/or weekend shifts (full or partial days)
Open to exploring additional hours for the right candidate if there is interest in helping w house cleaning, etc

We are flexible: If you can only do only a fraction of the shifts proposed, let us know and we can discuss!

Salary: Up to £20 per hour dependent on qualifications and relevant previous experience.

Duties: Helping get children out of bed, dressed, and through the morning routine. Coordinating with parents to get the children to and from nursery (most days we’d ask you to do this, some days we would do it ourselves – depending on our work schedule and availability). Preparing and serving snacks / healthy meals (typically breakfast in the morning; dinner in the evening). Helping design and deliver fun activities and play-based learning (e.g. trips to local park/woods; reading; puzzles; art; imaginary play; etc). Help keeping children’s areas tidy/organized, and light child-related housekeeping (e.g. helping with children’s laundry). Providing consistent and loving care.

We are committed to working alongside our nanny to ensure both kids meet their full potential. Both Mama and Pappa are working full-time, splitting time working from home and commuting to London.

What we’re looking for in a Nanny
- Early childhood experience (ideally 5+yrs professionally with similar ages) -- we’re looking for someone who has a deep interest and rich experience in early childhood development, and who is happy and confident to discuss various topics around child care and development. (We take an active approach to all these topics, and are happy to change our minds on how we approach parenting based on research and what seems to be working for our kids.)
- Loves toddlers -- someone who is intuitive and attentive to their needs, and who wants to create a warm, responsive, and delightful environment for them. We’d like to find someone who is curious and adaptive, and happy to tailor activities to the child’s interests, needs, and potential!
- Great communicator and problem-solver -- Since we’ll all be spending a lot of time with the kids, we’ll have to spend a lot of time discussing different approaches to infant care, and we want to be able to discuss and try out a range of solutions together.
