I am a qualified level 3 Maternity Nurse with 5+ experience and hold a Diploma in Childcare, Paediatric First Aider. I have previously worked within the NHS as a practitioner working with Children In Need. During this time, I gained vast experience in premature children, children in hospital, arranging follow-up aftercare within the community.
As a Maternity Nurse/ Holistic sleep coach, combined with my baby - led and very gentle approach, I work closely with families when implementing a suitable routine that works for the entire family.
I am passionate about children, calm, patient and loving to children under my care.
Outside work, I enjoy reading, listening to podcast.
I am keen and available to travel if needed.
My Experience
• Working with families who are experiencing difficulties looking after their child at night, ensuring that the newborn needs are met.
• Giving advice to new mums on most aspects of baby care including breast or bottle–feeding, establishing a routine, general baby care and hygiene.
• Ensuring baby’s nursery cleanliness, washing bottles are of a good standard
• Carrying out night feeds, winding and settling the baby
• Helping the parent in establishing a feeding routine, handling nursery hygiene, also
• Helping and supporting the parent to bath the baby,
• Providing post-natal support to new mothers about how best to look after themselves and their newborn babies.
• Providing emotional and practical support to families as needed.
• Providing information and advice to new mothers about how to feed their babies, monitoring their milestones and development.
• Providing advice to new mothers on how to help their newborn baby to sleep, settle, as well as manage colic and reflux
