I’m a friendly and fun-loving student doctor who has a passion for caring for children. I have an eye for creativity and cooking; hobbies I love to get children involved with. My Experience
I have a few families that I regularly babysit for, looking after children aged 2-10 years old. I am happy to provide references from current families if you would like to hear testimonials about my commitment to children.
I volunteered at a primary school for 3 years working with children of all ages, tutoring in Mathematics and English. Also working with children with learning disabilities and additional educational needs.
I am part of a ‘Teddy Bear Hospital’ group which teaches nursery and reception children in local Lancaster primary schools about what it is like to be a doctor.
As part of my medical programme, I am running workshops surrounding ‘Healthy Hearts’ for Year 6 pupils. I have also completed hospital placements in paediatrics, in which I have engaged with a wide range of children including those with autism, additional needs and non-verbal communicators.
My Qualifications
Academically, I achieved 10 GCSEs (6 at grade A, 2 at A*) including Art, Drama and French. A-levels in Biology, Chemistry, Psychology (AAB).
I am currently studying MBChB Medicine and Surgery at Lancaster University in my fourth year of study.
I am fully first aid trained, also trained in paediatric life support and paediatric choking.
Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate for catering.

Abigail is great with my kids, one of which is having an ASD. She is very punctual, I never had to sit and wait for her. My children both love when she comes. Last year I had to catch an early flight, Abigail had no problem coming at 5am, waking up children and bringing them to school. I would recommend her for her great attitude and punctuality.
Overall
Abi offered to come and meet our 6yo ahead of time so we would all feel more comfortable. We explained that our daughter has some additional needs and Abi was totally prepared and happy to look after her. Our daughter loved her and we had a night out for dinner without worrying about how things were going at home. Absolutely recommend Abigail as a babysitter.
