I'm Elena, a fourth-year medical student at UCL and currently undertaking a BSc in Neuroscience. I have been tutoring since completing GCSEs following my own academic success and have since had students consistently achieve grades 7-9.
My Experience
I have worked extensively with children undertaking GCSEs, and my commitment to the role is unmatched. I take time to learn each curriculum thoroughly and have resources ready well in advance for exams; my main technique uses past papers to mark key areas of weakness and then targetted question practice to amend the mistakes while using specifications to make sure all basics are understood before moving on to the application of the knowledge.
I have tutored 3 students privately in the last 2 years on top of a very time-consuming medical school curriculum- all have achieved grade 7+; I have also worked at Kumon whilst in the sixth form.
