About Me
Hi :) my name is Layla and I'm a 22 year old 2nd year University student. I'm currently 2/3 into my degree for Primary Education, Level 4 qualified, specialising in Early Years Education too! It has always been my passion to become a primary school teacher, and I'm absolutely on my way there. I thought to offer to tutor children from 3-7 years old after feeling qualified, capable and confident enough!
I'm understanding, caring, empathetic, patient, creative, trustworthy, and, more importantly, experienced! I'm trained in safeguarding, child development and school curriculum (EYFS and Key Stage 1 Primary National Curriculum), and have a recent DBS check from my University and one I ordered myself.
Please keep it in mind that I am mostly available in local areas, but that can be discussed over message if you wish!
My Experience
My recent experience with children would be as a trainee teacher in a school placement (integral to my University course) teaching and caring for children aged 3-5 years old, and my Special Educational Needs and Disability placement at a primary school, ages 5-11. My next placement will be Key Stage 1 (year 1 and 2) at the end of April for 8 weeks, which I'm already preparing for :)
My Qualifications
I'm qualified Level 4 Primary Education and Early Years Specialist since finishing my first year of University with high grades. I’m currently on Level 5 training!
My Availability
My availability may change over time depending on personal family/social events taking up a certain date, but this is my usual availability at the moment and I would let you know of any changes to this accordingly. I would prefer to plan in advance and, if possible, meet the family before I take on a job - just to get to know everybody for mutual comfort and trust! :)
(I would not feel comfortable babysitting or tutoring late at night, just to let anyone know)
