My Experience

I have experience as a Teacher (I qualified as a Primary Teacher in 2018) and a Teaching Assistant working 1:1 supporting children with SEND in accessing the curriculum (predominantly children with ASC). I also co-managed a school's After-School Care Provision ensuring children had a healthy afterschool meal/snack, managing staff, toys/resources and an indoor/outdoor space catering for up to 40 children aged 3-11.

I also have experience as a Keyworker in a maintained nursery, caring for children aged 22-50 months and providing a safe and stimulating environment for play-based learning within the setting and in the adjacent park during 'Forest School' sessions. Additionally, as an Unqualified/Qualified Teacher working in a shared space serving 3-5 years olds within a small primary school, I developed my knowledge of the Early Years and Foundation Stage: planning, implementing and assessing activities focussed on cognitive, physiological and social development as well as early literacy and mathematics skills/knowledge.

Further experience includes being a Playworker for a charity catering to children and young people with SEND and their siblings with/without additional needs. I contributed to weekend/holiday playschemes and also their youth club in the evenings, supporting a wide variety of differently abled people from 3-25 years of age with adventurous play, local excursions, exploring sensory-play, cooking, sports, art, music and social skills.
