About Me
I grew up on a farm up North, which was the perfect childhood. I moved to London ten years ago in pursuit of a career break after studying Architecture in Leeds. What was supposed to be a Summer out, turned into the last ten years and it’s been a wonderful, wild ride in the music industry. Unfortunately, I have just been made redundant but on the plus side, it means I can pursue one of my greatest hobbies, childcare. I am known to many close to me as ‘nanny hanny’ and have been for as long as I can remember. Whilst figuring out my next steps in the music industry, I am flexible and working from home so would like to keep busy and do something I truly love, whilst helping a family out.
I live in Southfields with my husband who's also in music, we just got married! I love to be active and enjoy walks to Wimbledon Common, cycling, running, riding my Peloton and escaping to Scotland now and again to see family.
My Experience
I have been working with a local family for the last year, with three children aged between 5-10. The family have a younger child too, so have experience with her but she has a maternity nurse. I am a regular nanny for family / family friends and love the time I spend with my nephew (2 ½), nieces (2 ½ and 8 months), Godson (18 months) and Goddaughter (2 ½). For my Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award many years ago, I volunteered at an after school club, working with children from the ages of 6-12. In between studies, I regularly cared for two brothers from the ages of 2-4 for several years. This was always in their home or mine.
My Qualifications
I consider myself incredibly calm and loving, whilst also enjoying arts and crafts with younger children and imaginative play. Working in music, I also love to explore sensory activities with use of sounds too. I have always been very sporty and I’m incredibly organised, self-sufficient and friendly. I have a BA (Hons) Part One Architecture Degree and have worked in the Music Industry for the last ten years.
My Availability
At present and for the foreseeable, I'm going to be working from home so can be flexible, fit around your needs.
