About Me
Hi, I'm Sarah and I run Confidence Boost Tuition, tutoring in person in Bristol and online. As the name suggests, I am passionate about boosting children's confidence and reducing anxiety around learning. I am an enthusiastic and patient teacher, who prioritises listening to children and working together with families to work out how we can best meet their needs and enable them to love learning. The joy of personalised tuition is that it can be tailored to fit individual interests, so I really get to know my students, and have a particular interest in supporting home educating families. I have worked with children with a range of special educational needs, including dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD and autism, and teach with a special focus on mental health and wellbeing. If your child needs support to boost their confidence or overcome school-related anxiety, my sessions can help.
My Experience
I have almost 10 years experience as a classroom teacher teaching children aged 4-11, and began tutoring to support children who are not getting what they need from the education system currently. I have an in-depth knowledge of the UK curriculum, so can provide English and Maths tuition alongside school learning throughout the year or in a more targeted way for specific exams, including 11+ and SATs preparation for KS1 and KS2. I also have experience tutoring English and maths at KS3 level and above for Functional Skills exams, as well as teaching English to adults.

My Fees
- Tutoring from £50.00 per hour
£50 per hour 1:1 online or face-to-face at my home in BS5. I also offer paired or small group tuition - please ask for more details of specific rates.
