My Requirements
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled ABA Tutor to provide specialized support to a child with autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities in a private school setting in New Malden. This role requires a professional with experience in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and a solid understanding of behaviour intervention strategies. The ABA Tutor will work alongside another ABA Tutor and will be guided by an ABA Consultant and an ABA Supervisor. The ideal candidate should be committed to creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment tailored to the child’s unique needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized behaviour intervention plans focusing on the child’s specific needs related to autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities.
Apply ABA techniques to enhance the child’s learning, communication, and daily living skills.
Utilize effective behaviour management strategies to address and modify challenging behaviours.
Collaborate with another ABA Tutor to provide comprehensive support.
Monitor and document the child’s progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
Engage with parents/guardians to ensure a consistent and holistic approach to the child’s education and wellbeing.
Foster social, communication, and life skills development through ABA methods.
Implement positive reinforcement strategies to encourage desired behaviours.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Psychology, Special Education, Applied Behaviour Analysis, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience working with children on the autism spectrum and with learning disabilities.
Certification in Applied Behaviour Analysis (BCBA preferred).
Proven experience in developing and implementing ABA programs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effective teamwork with another ABA Tutor.
Patience, empathy, and a creative approach to education.
Collaborative skills to work with parents and other professionals.
