About Me
Hi! I am Serena, a second year medical student at the university of Bristol. I am enthusiastic and energetic, I play lacrosse regularly and enjoy going for walks to Clifton suspension bridge.
I am a kind and caring individual, and i love to look after others, which is a big influence as to why i chose medicine at university, and also what makes me a great person for childcare.
My Experience
From the age of 16 I worked as a babysitter for family friends, for children aged between 5-14. I learned how to engage with a range of ages, adapting myself and activities to ensure that I was being sensitive to the age of the child. As a medical student, I often undertake a caring role, talking to patients and their families.
I have also undertaken a basic life support course.
I tutored children from the ages of 3-12, making me comfortable talking to that wide range of ages.
I have also worked as a healthcare assistant in a caring role at Southmead hospital.
My Qualifications
I do not have any formal qualifications in childcare- however i have excellent character references from the parents whose children i have cared for before.
I have 4 A*s at A level and 11 9’s at Gcse.
My Availability
I am a uni student, so i am flexible most days and almost every weekend. Currently on summer holidays so free most days.
