About Me
I am a friendly, reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic nanny. My current job is naturally coming to an end in August 2025 and I am looking for a family that would also be happy to welcome my 14 month old granddaughter on some days.
I have got great organisation skills and good time management.
My favourite aspects of working with children are observing them learn through play and follow their interests with fun activities. Helping them with problem solving and encouraging them to achieve their own goals within their abilities, praising them for their efforts and achievements.I love interacting with children and being part of their development by being inclusive of all their individual needs.
I enjoy supporting children build their confidence and independence while learning to manage their feelings.
I feedback to parents/carers at the end of each day to update them on their children’s day, their efforts, achievements and/or concerns to ensure that the child’s needs are met.
I am fit, healthy and outgoing.
My Experience
I have over 30 years experience in childcare in London. I have worked 15 years as a sole charge nanny, including nanny share with both my toddler children (now adults). I provided a routine with different activities, outings and healthy meals. I provided toilet training, helped with sleep patterns and fussy eaters. I also did nursery and school runs, helped with homework and tidy up after children. I looked after children aged between newborn and 12 years old.
In 2005 I started to work in a pre- school, as my children went to school. I started as a volunteer as I completed a NVQ L2 in Childcare, starting to work in 2006 until July 2022 when I was made redundant due to an increase in the rent of the premises. I worked as a key worker in the pre-school and Deputy, assistant SENCo also, in charge of the running of the 2 year old playroom separate to the main site. I assessed, planned, monitored and reviewed children’s development and support for children with SEN. Liaised with different professionals and followed their advice/programs. I also provided personal quality feedback to parents regarding their child's development.
I moved on to a private nursery as a pre-school leader staying until February 2023. I was in charge of planning, outings and children’s assessments. I made the decision to leave to find something more fulfilling, meaningful and rewarding which I have found with my current family who I started working for in April 2023 looking after 3 children. My main duties are being sole charge of a now 3 year old child, doing the school run, helping with homework, cooking and tidying up after the children.
