My Experience

I have worked as a manager at a wrap around childcare for 5 years now. Witching this role I care for the children, serve them meals and plan fun and age appropriate indoor and outdoor activities. I have worked as a teaching assistant in a reception class for 3 years now, writhing this role I help the children reach their early years goals by supporting them with their physical development, literacy and maths skills. I help them to learn to read and write as I lead my own phonics class every morning. I help the class teaching with planning and setting up appropriate activities and tasks for the children. I have experience with baby sitting and day time babysitting for multiple family’s. I would babysit in evening when parents would have plans by feeding the children and putting them to bed. I also have experience with day time babysitting during the school holidays where I would plan days out and fun age appropriate activities to suit each child. I have done work experience at a nursery with early years children. Within this role I would feed the children, support them with toileting, plan and support them with arts and crafts and take them on school trips. I am highly organised and work well in stressful and challenging situations. I am used to working with children in small groups, larger groups and on a one to one basis.

My Qualifications

First aid trained
Trained in phonics teaching
NVQ level 2 in childcare and development
Level 3 diploma as a early years practitioner
