About Me
I am an OFSTED registered childminder of 17years standing. Previous to becoming a childminder, I was a teacher for 15 years. I gave up teaching when I had my son, Theo, who is now 17. I have also been a tutor/chaperone to child actors, including a tour with Peter Pan.I have qualifications in teaching English to foreign students. I enjoy reading, the theatre and sport. I am particularly keen on cricket having been the scorer for Bromley Cricket Club for 20 years. I am now he Child Welfare Officer for the club.
I take the children to a mixture of childminder drop-ins, toddler groups and local events. I help to run a very popular music group on a Friday which the children-and I-thoroughly enjoy! As I live very close to Bromley we can walk to the park, the library and any holiday activities in The Glades.
I have a Good rating from OFSTED, and positive references from families I have cared for.
My Experience
I taught mostly infant children in schools in Brockley, Deptford, New Cross, Thamesmead and Bromley. I have also done some private tutoring in G.C.S.E English and coached children for entrance exams to secondary school. My teacher training was in Early Years and it seemed a logical step to move into childminding when I made the decision to stay at home with my son. The children that I am currently caring for have been with me for a minimum of 3 years-one of them has been with me for over 8! The reason for my vacancy is that the children are starting school.

I currently do a school run to St Mark's Primary School, and nursery drop off and pick up to Fledglings and The Ark.
