Joy-of-Joys maths tutoring
My name is Cristina Zolde. I am a qualified teacher and tutor with a mathematics specialism, keen to help children and young people out there with their maths, and not only.
My Experience
I worked as a teacher, and now I'm working as a private maths & English tutor and as a teacher at the Saturday Romanian School in Plymouth.
I also own and run the Hedgehog Club, which includes maths, English, and handwriting sessions.
I am organising themed events for children.
My Qualifications
In 1995, I qualified as a primary school teacher in my country of origin, Romania, with a degree issued by the Romanian Ministry of Education and Science.
In 2019, I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Primary Education.
I then trained to be a teacher at the University of Exeter, where I obtained my Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with a Mathematics specialism and the Qualified Teacher Status.
In 2022 I qualified as an Academic Mentor for Mathematics at the National Tutoring Programme.
I am in my final year of completing a master’s degree in MA Education at the University of Exeter.
I have a valid Enhanced DBS certificate (on Update Service), Safeguarding, Child Protection and Paediatric First Aid training.
