My Summary

My Experience

I have been taking care of children of different ages since 1988 in various countries.Whilst living in Belgium the base we were stationed at had 42 different nations. My children attended the Belgian, British and American sections of the school where I volunteered/worked on a regular basis. I also used to be involved in the base community theatre .There were generally at least 30 children in the productions, all of whom I would be closely involved with. My three years in the theatre has given me great knowledge and skills that I can put to good use when working as a childminder.

Although I do not have any formal training to look after children with disabilities or special needs, I have worked with children with various needs including Downs Syndrome, ADHD, behavioural and learning difficulties, special dietary requirements to avoid anaphylactic shock and Aspergers Syndrome. I am willing to undertake training and meet with health specialists to assist with your child should they have any special requirements. My house can be adapted to provide wheelchair access if needed.

My Availability

My normal hours of operation are 7.30am until 5.30pm.

Please feel free to enquire if additional hours are required.

I am registered for overnight care but this service is only available in exceptional circumstances for children that I care for during the day ,for example if a parent has to go on a course or is posted at short notice.

My Fees

• Childminding from £4.00 per hour

Daily fee from £40.00 depending on services required.
Occasional/extra hours £4.00
