My Summary
About Me
Hello! I am Andrea and I'm the owner of Bee Happy Chapelford Home Nursery based in Great Sankey, Warrington. I am a caring and friendly early years specialist, trained and registered with a Childminder Agency. I am passionate about helping little ones to thrive.
I live with my husband and our three wonderful children. Two of my children are of school age and make great playmates for the little ones when they return home from school! As a family we love adventures and exploring new places in our campervan. We also love to host parties for our family
and friends at our home. I think it is safe to say that being around children is when I am at my happiest!
I believe that all children should be able to access high quality early education in their formative years. Prior to training as an early years educator I spent 16 years as a family law solicitor with a leading High Street firm based in the Northwest.
As my own family grew I knew that it was time for a change of career as I wanted to spend more time at home with my own children. Being able to set up my own home nursery is literally my dream job but my background means that I really understand the importance of good quality, reliable childcare and the parental need for reassurance that their children are in safe hands. I want every family that I work with to understand how privileged I will feel to be trusted to care for your children and to be part of their learning journey.
I have a warm and welcoming home from home setting that provides an environment where children feel safe to flourish. With four whole rooms indoors for children to play and explore, plus our garden and outdoor learning hut and the local community, there are endless opportunities for fun!
My house and garden are the perfect play space for little ones to explore their interests and thrive with dedicated areas for role play and dressing up, our own mini library and an amazing soft play area that can also become a den, a rocket, castle or whatever invention our little ones can create! Our playroom is across the back of the house, letting in lots of lovely natural light and providing direct access to the garden. We love learning outdoors and take every opportunity to do so. Dancing in the rain and jumping in muddy puddles are some of our favourite things to do! Our playroom and garden are filled with engaging activities and there is lots of space for free play to enable children to explore their own interests. We have story time every day to help children to learn new vocabulary. We also like to engage with our local community and we have regular visits to our local library to refresh our bookshelves and attend lots of lovely groups to enable the children to socialise. There will be outings to local parks, playgroups, play-dates and seasonal tea parties as well as cultural learning days. We also enjoy circle time, shared reading and song and dance time. I love to get creative and create resources and activities so there will always be something new for the children to get involved in.
I care for a maximum of three children under the age of 5 at any one time. Small ratios mean that children benefit from lots of individual attention from me whilst also having playmates to learn and grow with. Your child will only ever have one key worker (me!) during their early years which enables me to offer a highly personalised approach according to their individual needs. By also offering after school care this will enable the younger children to get used to a school setting and give them more opportunities to socialise with a range of age groups within our Bee Happy family.
We will celebrate your child's learning with EYFS observations shared through your child's very own online learning journal. You will also receive various reports on your child's learning development from settling in, to termly summaries and a two year progress check. This is the same format that traditional nurseries follow. We focus not just on learning through play but also bringing the children together whilst learning, making relationships, understanding values and, of course, having an incredible amount of fun at the same time, in the safest and most enabling environment!
My Experience
I am an enthusiastic and caring early educator, registered with and trained by a Childminder Agency. I am a mother of three with a previous career in the legal world and so I understand the importance of affordable, good quality and reliable childcare. Being in a small setting means that a child's individual needs can be responded to moment by moment by one trusted adult who cares deeply. The early years lay the critical foundations for lifelong learning and emotional well-being and I have a passion for providing the very best learning experiences for children within my setting.
My Qualifications
I have gone through extensive training with my Childminder Agency prior to registration and this is strengthened by ongoing professional development in my day-to-day practice.

I also received an initial inspection visit and I will have an annual quality assurance inspection so you can be sure of consistently high standards of care and education. I am DBS checked and verified.
I also have a Law Degree and have spent 16 years as a family law solicitor, achieving a specialist accreditation in private children law matters
