About Me

Hi ,My name is Stefania , I am Italian living in UK since 2010 and I am 33 years old. I've recently passed my registration Ofsted Inspection to become a Childminder.
I'm a sunny person, I like to think positive, laugh and have fun, therefore I think working with children is one of the most satisfying job.
I've been working in childcare for more than 15 years ( as a nanny and working in nurseries) . I now have my own little bundle of joy . She was born in May 2022 . For all these reasons I've decided to become a childminder . Now that I am finally registered I am thrilled to start creating exciting new content for the children in my care.
I've always had a great love for children, I like to invent new games turning them into adventures to excite and entertain them. I've always tried to remember my feelings when I was a child to be more familiar with those of the children I look after.

Bright Future Childminding, my setting is a welcoming and warm environment. The goal is to give equal opportunities to all children in order to achieve their best potential . I aim to provide a high quality home-from-home childcare experience for children from 6 months to 5 years old, and before and after school care for children between 5 and 8 years.
In my setting , children will learn to be the best self by learning basic life skills like cooking , gardening and tidying up to more complex activities that will prepare them for an academic future in school. I think both are equally important in children’s learning and development . Children will learn important skills through playing and enjoyable activities because Play is crucial in Children’s development.
I’m a true believer in Healthy Food Happy Children . I will provide children with a homemade healthy diet , fresh fruit and vegetable snacks and some healthy treats from time to time .
Children will have access to outdoor area where they can participate on activities like messy play , water games and running around . I have a patio with gazebo that we can use all year around . In there , we can do lots of messy activities , art and craft , water games and much more.
I have an allotment not far from my house , in there we will have some fun doing gardening and growing some fruit and vegs.
Inside my house , I created a more relaxing area where we can take part on Role Play activities such as cooking in the kitchen corner, dressing up, reading in our magical and cosy reading corner, building towers with blocks, playing with Lego etc. There is also a baby area with sensory lights and mirror , babies will have access to a sensory basket , tactile books and lots more.
I created an exciting Activity Calendar for the Children . From activities that will take part on a daily basis or particular occasions and celebrations that will take part during the following year. Some of the activities that we will take part on our routine and I am really proud of are :
Science and Invention Day , every month together with the children we will decide on a little project to take on . The goal is to create toys from recycled material or to do exciting experiments .
Cooking Day , every Tuesday will cook a different recipe. Together with the children will go shopping for the ingredients and once at home , we will cook our favourite recipes.
Help the Environment Day, where we will learn a little bit more about it and ways we can incorporate in our daily life to help the environment .
and much more

My Experience

I was born in a little town in Sardinia , Italy. Where my mother and my aunts had a nursery, as far as I can remember I had the chance to be in contact with small children(from 3 months to 5/6 years old). When I was younger, for quite some time I had the opportunity to work at the nursery. I than qualified and obtained a Nursery Certificate.
My town felt too small for me since I was very young, my curiosity to know other places and cultures brought me to the UK . In 2010, I moved to London . Since than, I worked as a nanny for different families. I met amazing people and built solid relationships with these families. During my time in London I also attended South Thames College and I studied Childcare. I have level 2 and level 3 Cache certificates . I lived in London for 6 years before moving to Manchester in 2016.
Once in Manchester, I carried out my career as a nanny. I worked for the same family for over four years . Children have grown and it was time to say goodbye as they were starting a new chapter in their life , school. I , also, felt like it was time for a new chapter in my life . I've always wanted to be a childminder but for different circumstances it wasn't yet the time . I am now so excited to finally start my new career in childminding .
