My Experience

I'm currently in my second year studying primary education in Liverpool Hope University and am looking for work childminding during the summer. I have my DBS and Access NI checks. I am responsible, dependable and have good time management skills. I’m patient, kind and understand the importance of being an excellent role model for children while setting boundaries and managing behaviour appropriately without raising my voice. I am enthusiastic and creative. I understand the importance of good nutrition and outdoor play for childrens cognitive development and well-being. I have gained relevant childminding experience volunteering as a team leader in various youth summer schemes, encouraging the young children with sports, drama and craft activities, including with ‘Downs and Proud’ Charity, helping children with Down syndrome and their families. I also gained relevant experience managing childrens behaviour while delivering all lessons during my 7-week block placement in Primary 2 managing 30 children many of whom had SEND. Furthermore, I have worked as a care assistant with the Beeches nursing home for adults with learning disabilities.
