About Me
About Me
Hello my name is Asima Varachhia, I live in Batley, near Healey and I run Asima’s childcare from our home. I am a Ofsted registered child minder.
I run a professional friendly setting, where o provide nursery education. I plan my activities according to the Early Years Foundation stage Framework. I also arrange activities outside of the home such as to the local parks, playgroups, library’s and educational trips I also have good access to local farms.
My home is a clean, cosy and welcoming place for when children want to learn and play, but I'm all about the outdoors too and I am passionate about taking children into our environment to create quality learning experiences. As a former Teaching assistant/nursery nurse , I strive to create engaging resources to meet your child's unique learning style.
I create a positive learning environment where children can develop skills and confidence at their own pace.
It is important to me that children are happy and cared for, in my care. I aim to work in partnership with parents and cater to gain good communication to support your child's health and development.
I provide healthy, nutritious meals and believe that involving children helps them to gain confidence and skills in food preparation and to make healthy choices.
My Experience
I have over 18 years experience of working in various schools/nurseries. I previously worked for the last 5 years as Family Support Worker, based in schools and a Designated Safeguarding Practitioner in child protection, in a school in Leeds.
I provide a stimulating learning environment for your children to learn, play and grow in. I have a lovely space for playing and learning. I live close to a small park and we regularly go on outings to play groups and places of interest such as farms, other parks & playgrounds, libraries, museums, and to other educational environments. Time spent in my setting for the children is balanced out at home from indoors or outdoors and to rest when needed.
I also have a child led setting which is constantly evolving to take into account every child we care for. Planning is done according to the interests of the child and is linked to the seven areas of learning from the EYFS framework. The needs of each individual family are me. I use teaching techniques such as, Montessori. We value empowerment and strong relationships which we believe develop free but morally responsible individuals with a high degree of social competence and creative ability. I nurture each child to the very best that they can be. Childminding in our setting is much more than a job, it’s a vocation, its something we love.

Asima is an exceptional childminder who consistently goes above and beyond in caring for my son. Her dedication and commitment are evident in every aspect of her work. My son is always well looked after, and I am continuously impressed by the thought and effort she puts into planning and delivering activities.
Her activities are not only engaging but have also brought out the best in my previously shy son. Under her care, he has blossomed into a confident speaker, a transformation for which I am incredibly grateful.
Asima is very friendly and approachable during both drop-off and pick-up times, always providing a thorough briefing on how the day has gone. She ensures that parents are kept well-informed through regular updates, including weekly menus and a detailed schedule of activities planned for the week.
In addition to her professional skills, Asima creates a warm and nurturing environment that makes both children and parents feel comfortable and valued. Her attention to detail and genuine care for the children’s development truly set her apart.
I highly recommend Asima's childminding services to any parent looking for a dedicated, professional, and caring individual to look after their child.
Asima is one of the best childminders I have come across. Not only does she pay attention to every little detail, but her passion and experience is phenomenal. My child loves going to Asima's, she settled in very quickly and has an amazing time there. Asima also ensures the children are learning, exploring and experiencing new things every day. Her sessions are based according to the child's needs and she encourages them and helps boost their self esteem and confidence.
The communication is fantastic, the service is fantastic. I have had no issue with Asima as she caters to the child's needs and development and is very accommodating, especially during unavoidable circumstances. I am very pleased and happy to have found her as I feel content and secure about my child being with Asima and her little friends.
Asima, you're a jem and you play a very important role in our child's life. Thank you for everything.
My son spent school holidays with Asima and settled in straight away. He loves to attend as there is a wide range of activities that she plans including library visits, soft play etc. Asima is friendly, caring and updated me with photos of him doing different things during the day to put my mind at ease. My son looks forward to attending and has really worked well for us
