About Me
Hi, my name is Carina and I am originally from Romania, and I have also lived 10 years in Italy. I am a Psychology student graduating this summer (on course for a first class honours degree), with developmental and child psychology being my main areas of interest.
One of my first childcare experiences was during high school. I took part in a volunteering program, which involved spending two weeks with kids from foster homes. After this heartwarming experience I realised how much I enjoyed spending my time with children. To be in their company has always brought me joy and hope. I find it extremely fascinating that while I have the opportunity to contribute to their life in a positive way, they can have the exact same effect on me. For me personally, human connections are the most beautiful aspect of this life, and I think children are the purest form of love and hope on this planet.
My Experience
I have been a nanny since 2020, and worked with two families.
1st family reference, with one 6 year old boy – "Carina is fantastic with kids. Very creative and affectionate. Also super flexible and understanding. She is like an elder sister to my little boy who feels completely at ease with her. Excellent at art and drawing as well as yoga and other creative activities. I would hire Carina without a doubt."
2nd family reference, with two girls, aged 3 and 5 – "Carina looked after my children (age 2 and 4 when she started working for us). She formed a wonderful bond with the girls and they adored her. They were very playful together and at the same time Carina was able to command their attention and get them to listen to her and get them to carry out tasks. Carina confidently looked after the girls all the way through from school pick up, bringing them home on the tube, preparing dinner, helping with homework, bathing the girls and putting them to bed. She listened to my instructions when it came to care and routine, she was flexible with her availability and she always conducted herself in a respectful manner. I would recommend her to any family looking for a nanny. She is excellent with little children and we were sad to see her leave."
