Hi I’m Harriet, I’m a hard working individual, I have experience working with children and I would love to take care of your little ones. I am responsible, caring, and I enjoy engaging with kids through play and learning activities.
I finished my A-levels in May 2023 and received 3 merits! (MMM) equivalent to 3 A-levels, in my triple art and design national diploma. I’m going to university to study childcare at Noland College in September!
My Experience
My desire to care for young children comes from my large extended family. I am the oldest of three and I have lots of younger cousins on both my maternal and paternal side. On family holidays, I would always be entrusted with taking care of large numbers of children while our parents went out; this would be the beginning of my experience. Alongside school, I have also juggled several jobs while maintaining good academic focus and grades. These various occupations have taught me multiple skills, such as problem-solving, communication, time management and teamwork. More recently, I have begun work as a tutor for a ten-year-old girl, applying to the same school where I received an art scholarship. Our sessions are focused on building her confidence, teaching new educational techniques as well as helping her create a portfolio. In Janurary, I will also start volunteering at a local prep school, helping in both the art department and nursery. This new opportunity will allow me to combine both my expertise and experiences in art and childcare.
