My Experience

I have thirteen years experience working with children and their families, eight of which gained working in nursery settings across all the different age ranges, during which time I spent three years as the room leader of the baby unit. During my years working in nurseries I was first aid trained and would be happy to undertake a first aid course to refresh my knowledge if required.

I have four years experience as a qualified Social Worker, three of these years I spent in the Children Looked After Team, working with children in care aged 0-18, their families, carers and professional network. I then spent a year working in the Family and friends Fostering team assessing and supporting foster carer while continuing to work closely with the children and professional network. My Social Worker experience includes, safeguarding children and young people, building open and honest relationship, undertaking and writing assessments, care planning, and preparing legal statements for court leading to court appearances to give evidence.

From December 2023 I took a six month career break to travel Australia and South East Asia.

My Qualifications

Bsc Social Work degree completed with first class honours.

Level 3 Diploma NVQ - care and early years.

8 GCSE’s grade B-C, including Maths and English.

Monday to Friday, hours flexible.
