About Me
I am 19 years old currently in first year studying Physical Education at the University of Edinburgh. I play shinty and love the outdoors, where I see myself as a fun and outgoing person. I have always loved the rewarding experience of working with children, as no days the same as the other.
My Experience
So far I have completed my first year placement, where I teach PE to children of all ages from nursery to Primary 7. This involves creating lesson plans, dealing with behavioural issues and being responsible for up to 30 pupils at a time. Before leaving for University, I had two jobs that involved working with children, one being an after school club/nursery support worker. From 3 month old babies to 12 year old children, I really enjoyed every age in between. As well as this, I helped a family every Saturday for 2 and a half years, taking three brothers out on days out along with their mum. Through these experience’s, I have learnt how to work with children with additional support needs, behavioural issues and the ability to adapt when facing an unknown situation.

My Availability
I am currently working at an outdoor nursery along with attending uni 3/4 times a week. This allows me to work most evenings and potentially the odd day depending on my timetable/rota. I am also available on weekends. This availability will change after April time as I will be working full time (Monday to Friday) over the summer.
