Welcome to Little Gems Childcare!
I'm Gem and I have recently been approved as an Ofsted Registered Childminder. Our doors will officially open from the 1st July 2024 with the following spaces available:
2 x Full-time spaces for ages 0-5 years (or multiple part-time if other hours can be fulfilled)
2 x Before and after school/school holidays spaces for ages 5-8 years
School holiday spaces for 8-10 year olds will be dependent on the number and ages of under 8's booked in, as space and safety of the younger children is the priority.
I am registered to take payment via the Tax-Free Childcare scheme, and have recently been accepted to take government funded children aged 2-4 years.

My Experience
I’m a mum of 4 plus a step daughter (who made me a grandma this year!), and have always been around children. My mum was a childminder for 25 years, since I was 6 years old.
In 2018 I completed my Level 3 qualification as an Early Years Educator. The training experience included working in a school nursery, a day nursery and as a Childminding Assistant. I worked as a Childminding assistant for 4 years then more recently in the baby room of a Day Nursery with 6 key children of varying ages, abilities and care needs.
My main reason for choosing a career in Childminding, is to spend more time with my own children as well as doing the job I love. My key children were always an extension of my own family and my testimonials reflect that. Bringing the two together gives a healthier work/life balance, whilst allowing me to be the best mum I can be, as well as providing a ‘home from home’ experience for other children whose parents go out to work.
I have completed many extra curricular qualifications from certificates to diplomas (CV available on request), and am always trying to update my knowledge base regularly.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.35 per hour
Breakfast club 07:30-08:00 - £3
Under 5’s
Full day 08:00-18:00 (including 2 meals/2snacks) - £44
Half day 08:00-13:00/13:00-18:00 (including 1 meal/1 snack) - £25
School aged children before/after school
£4.35 per hour plus £2 if tea is required.
Holiday club for school aged children
Full day 08:00-18:00 (including 2 meals/2 snacks) - £25
Half day 08:00-18:00/13:00-18:00 (including 1 meal/1 snack) - £15
