Hi i'm Heidi, i am a 21 year old from Oxfordshire, I am currently studying at Cardiff university
I am an enthusiastic and trusted individual. I enjoy working with children of all ages, and love to see progress and development within the children i work with, whether that is meeting milestones or learning new coping mechanisms.
I enjoy building personal relationships with children, adapting my care based on their needs and interests. I am a fun and approachable person who is open to working with all different types of children
My Experience
Most recently I have been looking after a 7 year old with autism.
I have experience in a complex SEN school as well as in Nurseries and Early years settings. I have worked with children from birth to 14 years old in various settings, along with personal experience with a young child with autism. I have tailored my degree towards learning about young people and aspire to qualify in educational psychology
I am also a volunteer at (YJESS) which is an organisation which specialises in youth justice. In this role i completed a four day course based on restorative practices while engaging with young people.
My Qualifications
Despite being unqualified i have a broad range of experience working with all different children, i also have gained brilliant academic knowledge about children and young people during my time at university.
I have numerous certificates including food hygiene, first aid, safeguarding children and the development of children and young people.
My Availability
Due to being a student my main availability will fall within the school holidays, however over the summer period i will be available from the start of June to end of September. In the periods where i am able to work i am fully flexible to whatever is needed
