About Me
I have been a primary school teacher for 12 years and a manager of a busy arts holiday club in London for 4-11 year olds. However, I'm in the process of a career change and so I am looking for other options. I am great at creating quick, warm and nourishing bonds with children where they feel safe to be themselves and explore the world around them with curiosity and boundaries of safety and great care.
I love nurturing side of being with the children and helping to shape their emotional and social needs as well as other areas they are drawn to as their natural interests and skills unfold. I also enjoy just being around them to take interest in who they are as individuals, play with them, have fun, help with homework and be part of their world as someone who can help provide a safe space for them to enjoy being who they are. I have a lot of experience with EYFS ages (4-5) as this was primarily the age I taught in schools; however, I also have experience being around the older ones too, particularly in managing the holiday club.
I am happy to offer general nanny duties, homework help, babysitting and am flexible with any other requirements you might have. Unfortunately I do not yet drive...just incase that's a deal breaker. I am currently learning. I am looking to find around 15 hours over three days. Although, until I find something more permanent and stable I am available for adhoc baby-sitting, nannying or child minder roles. Currently as I look for the right job fit I'm available for part-time and temporary child minding, baby sitting and nannying. However, this may change to a more permanent basis, thought still part-time.
