Hi, I'm Lily. I'm 20 years old. I enjoy reading and going for walks. I'm caring, fun, and passionate about the work I do. I am studying Early Years and Childhood Studies. This course gives me a deepening understanding of the development of children, I come from a big family with many nieces and nephews, so I'm known as Auntie Lil. This pushed my career choice as a primary school teacher; it is important to know I can help and be a positive role model for them.
My Experience
I have previous experience in childcare from when I was a nursery practitioner. I worked in various nursery settings with diverse children with different personalities and needs. My roles included setting up activities such as painting or maths and helping tidy away; I also helped with lunch and snack time; my favourite role was carpet time, where we sang and read books. This gave me a sense of what each child was like individually. With my written work at university, I completed a placement in a preschool where I gained further experience.
My Qualifications
All GCSEs ranging from 5-7
2 BTECS and 1 A-Level ranging from C- Distinction*
Currently studying Early Years and Childhood Studies ( Level 5 - second year)
1 year of nursery experience ( Full DBS check)
My Availability
Out of term time ( 15/12/2024-20/1/2025), I am available Monday through Thursday from before school until after school.
Term time (20/1/2025-onwards) - I am available Monday and Wednesday Before and After school.
