About Me
My name is Stephen. I'm a partner of a law firm as well as the owner of several business. My wife - Sarah - manages and runs an editorial, as well as an online business. I am looking for a male nanny for my wife's cousin, whom we have legal responsibility for, as we are so busy we don't have the chance to offer the stability we'd like to provide.
My Requirements
Note: This is a full-time job, however if we find the right candidate we are happy to offer it as part-time role, so long as we can find another suitable part-timer. We are also able to offer the role on a flexible basis, so students are welcome to apply, as we are lucky enough to receive a certain amount of free supported hours from a charity. Free accommodation is also available for those who need. All this can be discussed.
We are seeking a male nanny to form a close and family like relationship with 'M', he is 18 years old, but has learning difficulties, meaning he operates at the mental capacity of someone around the age of 6. He also has a form of dwarfism which means his stature is equally as small. Luckily this condition hasn't rendered him with any health issues.
In terms of the role, we are looking for someone to prepare his breakfast (just cornflakes), his lunch (already prepared, just putting it together) and eating dinner with him (we have help for dinner). In terms of personal care, he's capable of cleaning himself, however a bath will need to be drawn for him and he will need to be encouraged and supervised. He may need help and encouragement dressing and undressing also. Most of the time spent with him will be at home watching TV and playing, but also time will be spent out and about. We like him to have hobbies, and your role will include helping him to get involved in fun activities, such as the park, cinema and certain clubs he attends. You will be provided with meals throughout the day, so don't worry about needing to prepare food for yourself. Bedtime is really important too. He needs to get to bed on time because he can become grumpy if he misses sleep.
In terms of what type of person 'M' is, he's very easy to look after as he's well-behaved. He's very affectionate, so please be aware he's very loving and we hope you are someone comfortable with this. He loves to jump around and rough house, so we hope to find someone playful.
Some perks are: a great wage, meals and snacks provided, full-time, part-time and flexible roles available, opportunities to visit fun places, and even free accommodation for those who need it.
