My Experience

I have previously worked as a Play worker at Heymann Primary school. Taking part and lending a hand at both after school club and breakfast club, sometimes I would help out with mid day if they were running low on staff.
We would each be assigned to a year group, and our job role was to talk and entertain the children with fun activities, as well as looking after them, making sure they were safe and accounted for. We also would help out in the kitchen, making and serving food. Finally, we would clean away the kitchen area and the play areas after the children had left, leaving an organised and tidy for the following day.
Despite this job role holding a lot of responsibility, it was worth it to see young children blossom and express themselves, and to be a witness this journey was a tremendous pleasure. I really enjoyed this job as being with children brings a positive and enthusiastic energy which you can’t find in hospitality or retail. I myself love to organise activities and ensure a fun, energetic and safe atmosphere throughout. Unfortunately I had to leave my previous Play Worker job because I went to University, and throughout my time at University I juggled hospitality and retail jobs with my course schedule, which taught me great multi-tasking skills. However now I have graduated and when I saw another opportunity to work in such an exciting and fun atmosphere I was thrilled.

My Qualifications

I have 9 GCSE's all between a level 5-8. I have also got 3 A levels (A*AA) and have just finished my Fashion Communication (BA) undergraduate degree at Northumbria University which I am predicted to graduate with an upper 2.1 or 1st.
