About Me
Hello, my name is Salena and I am available to provide tutoring for children.
I consider myself to be reliable, compassionate and co-operative with a real passion and dedication to teach young minds.
For 14+ years in education, I have been a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant (TA), Higher Level TA (HLTA), a Mentor, an after-school practitioner and now a fully qualified Primary School Teacher, so my experience in Mainstream and SEND schools has been varied. In addition, I have been a supply Teacher, which gave me the opportunity to work in various educational settings. Fully DBS checked. Non-smoker. If there's a particular area of subject you want support in, I am happy to help.
My previous experiences are in admin, childcare, retail, schools and social care so I can provide support in any of those fields when necessary. I prefer to work in-person but I have supplied online tutoring when needed.
I have worked across London Boroughs of Redbridge, Havering, Waltham Forest and Barking & Dagenham.

My Experience
My work experience varies across office, educational settings, voluntary jobs and customer service sectors. My hard-working and eagerness to take up any new training that is required has led me to become a successful team worker and teacher in all Primary School settings.
I also have been in Music and Theatre schools as a student, voluntary stage director and a voluntary teacher. In the past, I briefly provided support for GCSE students in English and Drama so if it is an extra requirement, please don't hesitate to ask.

BA (Hons) Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies and English Literature
Postgraduate Certificate in Education - Primary Education ages 3-11 years old

Currently Part-time in a Primary School, so my availability are as followed:
Evenings, Weekends, Half Term, Easter and Summer holidays when required. Bank holidays are not included.
