About Me
Hi, my name is Paloma, I am 18 and have just finished my A-Levels, looking for a summer babysitting job, or GCSE English or history/SATS tutoring job.
I am excellent with kids, aged 3+, and also am able to care for pets if also necessary. I have a great passion for working with children, and am striving to become a primary or secondary school teacher in the next few years. I have a toddler cousin in which I have looked after on multiple occasions, and have enjoyed doing so very much. I am extremely attentive and hesitant, and willing to babysit whenever needed.
My Experience
I have done a lot of babysitting for my 3 year old cousin, and and when I was in sixth form, I did a lot of volunteering for the year 6s, thus, would also be able to work with slightly older children.
In terms of tutoring, I have spent much time in the classroom, shadowing my English teacher in particular. I did my work experience at my sixth form, and helped teach students in year 10. Alongside this, I have helped many year 6s in preparation for their SATs, both in English and Maths.
My Qualifications
In terms of childcare qualifications, I have a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care, thus have built a significant understanding around the caring for children, and assisting in their development and growth. In terms of tutoring qualifications, I have a GCSE grade 8 in English Language and Literature, and 7 in history. However, I am predicted an A* In both subjects as an A-Level, and am going to university to study history. Thus, would be extremely capable of tutoring at GCSE Level.
My Availability
I have no other jobs, so will be extremely flexible, and can plan around the days I am needed. However, I am going to uni in London in September, though, if needed long-term, will likely be able to babysit or tutor on some weekends. Will be completely flexible and free to work up till late September.
