I am very passionate and enthusiastic about education person with a friendly approach. I enjoy developing the English language in children, which will set them up for success not only in school but also will help to access their interests and reach their full potential in life. I hold a First Class Degree in Teaching and Learning in |Early Years and Key Stage One and I have a lot of experience developing the English language from 4 to 8 years old also as a childminder previously and as an educator in Primary School currently. In my experience, a boy, who spoke French with very little English when went to Reception class had a good level of English and was able to start Reception class with no struggles as well a Polish girl who already was in Reception Class was able to improve her level of English according to National Curriculum requirements and continue her way up to Year One with no struggles. Also currently tutoring my 8-year-old son in preparation for Grammar school.
My Experience
Currently, I have worked in a Reception class in the Primary school for 3 years, running intervention groups, where I help children develop English vocabulary, learn phonics and develop reading skills. Additionally, for 4 years as a childminder, I supported children in developing their English vocabulary, phonics and reading skills as well as helping with their homework.
My Qualifications
Bachelor First Class Degree in Teaching and Learning at Kingston University.
My Availability
I am available in the evenings from 5pm till 9pm on the workdays and on Saturday afternoons from 12 pm till 5 pm.
