About Me
(Names redacted for privacy)
We are looking for a nanny preferably for 3 days per week from 08:30 - 17:30
We have two boys - "E" born June 2022 and "A" born August 2023.
We are an LGBT household - we are two married women with 2 sons conceived via IVF. Our sons know us as "Mummy" and "Mama". It is a MUST that the nanny is not homophobic or "old school" in the slightest.
Both have a high chance of Autism and "E" is showing strong signs so someone with experience with SEN is a MUST.
"A" has feeding difficulties for which he is under Alder Hey, Leighton Hospital consultant and SLT. Due to this, he is exclusively breastfed and physically unable to drink from a cup/bottle etc. "Mummy" works from home due to medical reasons and due to "A" being exclusively breastfed. "Mummy" feeds "A" as and when he needs any liquid intake so it is a must that the nanny is comfortable working with a parent in the house. It is also highly preferred for the nanny to have knowledge and/or experience of feeding difficulties in babies and children/disabilities.
Due to "A"'s feeding requirements, it is a MUST that the nanny is able to plan, organise, set up and carry out a variety of educational, fun, engaging activities in the property rather than relying on external locations, such as soft play and parks.
It is highly preferred for the nanny to know BSL as we are teaching our sons BSL alongside spoken English.
"E" has milk, soya and egg allergies and is under a dietician for these. It is a MUST that the nanny has an excellent understanding of allergies, the different ways allergic reactions can present, the difference between immediate and delayed responses, how to respond to a reaction and how to prevent a reaction and produce allergy safe food.
It is a MUST that the nanny is registered with Ofsted and able to provide registration details.
Completed first aid training is a MUST.
Female nanny is a MUST.
Both children were born prematurely and spent time in NICU (A spent the longest with 5 and a half weeks). Therefore knowledge and understanding of how prematurity affects development is highly preferred.
